Current Account Savings Account (CASA)

Account that attempts to combine checking and savings accounts into one as a means to lure customers into keeping their money in the bank. The current portion of the account offers no return and the savings account portion offers an above average return. These accounts are often free but can be fee based dependent on account balance. These accounts are most prevalent in middle and southeast Asia.
