A participant in securities investment who uses technical analysis to determine buy/sell prices for a transaction. Technical analysis involves the use of graphic forms and pricing data rather than fundamental performance information, such as a price-to-earnings ratio. For example, a market technician will look a price trend lines to determine a good selling price.
