Relative Vigor Index (RVI)

An index that is based on the assumption that the closing price of a trade in a rising market is greater that the opening price, and the closing price in a bearish market is lower than the opening price. Used to analyze and determine the market price trend for investment purposes. Formula: RVI= (Close - Open) / (High - Low)
